Waxing vs shaving which is better for you?

The everlasting debut Sometimes It becomes really difficult to choose between two procedures which are both win-win situations. At the end of the day, it results in hair removal and leaves our skin silky smooth. For some, it gives them confidence. Waxing and shaving both are similar in some ways and different in some.

That said, surely one of them has to be the absolute best method of hair removal. So let’s together find out which one is it?

Let’s put them together for a face-off. Let’s go…

Round 1

Which is more convenient?

Waxing is a pretty messy procedure if you want to do it yourself. you first have to apply a thin layer of hot/cold wax then wax it off using a waxing strip. It requires some levels of expertise to properly get it done otherwise it can seriously hurt you. If you want to get it done professionally you need to book an appointment beforehand, which can be a little tedious sometimes. While of the other hand, for shaving you just need to whip out a razor and an optional shaving gel. It requires a minimum level of expertise to shave and it’s pretty convenient. So I think we have a clear winner for the first round, which is shaving!

Round 2

Hair regrowth time Now here is where a major difference can be seen in these two. With waxing, you can expect the hair to regrow after 3-4 weeks, with the same time being finer and thinner since in this process hair is pulled out from the root. As for shaving, regrowth is seen much earlier with hair being coarser. This is because in this process the hair is only had from the surface and not the roots.

So, the winner of round 2 is waxing!

Round 3

Pain Waxing is much more painful than shaving, there is no argument on that. If you pull the hair in the wrong direction the level of pain maximizes. In very rare cases you can hurt yourself by shaving, to minimize cuts, you can always use a cream or gel.So, the no-argument winner of this round is SHAVING.

Round 4

Apart from being really messy and very tedious, waxing is also very time-consuming. you have to heat the wax at the right temperature and then you have to reheat since again it takes a lot of time to get the whole procedure done. It’s not very ideal in an emergency.

While on the other hand, shaving is super quick and easy. You don’t need a lot of time to get the whole procedure done. It’s ideal in a situation where you want to get the thing done quickly.

So, the winner for the fourth round, yet again, is shaving!

Round 5

Affordability

There is no surprise in the fact that shaving is more cost-efficient. waxing supplies are expensive and, besides, if you have it done professionally, you’ll be charged separately for each body part covered.

Moreover, buying a razor and cream is not a frequent recurring expense. And since you don’t need a professional for shaving yourself, you save a ton of money too.

So, the winner of this round is shaving!

Round 6

Good for sensitive skin?

Waxing is a big no-no if you have sensitive skin. It can cause some amount of irritation if not done properly. Waxing also leads to red spots and makes your skin looser over time.

Shaving is more or less okay if you have sensitive skin. At least as long as you do it right, which means using the right products and shaving in the right direction.

So, with this, I think we finally got our ultimate winner which is no other than shaving! but still, if you want to feel hair-free for long, we always suggest waxing!
