Simple ways to achieve those dreamy silky, long and soft hair

It’s not very hard to get envious when we see someone with long and luscious hair. Unmanageable hair that lacks shine is very common amongst people, so when we see someone with healthy hair it’s very obvious that we feel a little envious of them. Somewhere in our hearts, we feel that it’s impossible to achieve them but one thing that we don’t know is that with the usage of a few ingredients we can pull off silky and long hair easily. 1. ALOE VERA

Aloe vera is an abundant source of enzymes that help in repairing damaged hair. The moisture content of this ingredient helps hydrate your hair and keep it conditioned throughout the day. This will ensure a smooth texture with minimized frizz. Using this 3-4 times a week will help in hair growth and repairing of the scalp.

❖ You can directly apply the raw aloe vera gel to your hair and scalp. Work it in with your hands into your scalp, hair, and ends. To help seal in the moisture, apply a few drops of castor oil and massage in. Leave the aloe vera in for about 30 minutes and then rinse off.

2. HOT OIL MASSAGE 

Hot oil massages are good for stimulating hair growth. Oils play an important role in protecting hair from regular wear and tear. Oiling hair regularly reduces fatigue or the swelling and drying of hair. Oiling hair twice a week helps in preventing hair damage.

❖ It is always recommended to apply oil when your hair is dry.

Take 2-3 tablespoons of your chosen oil and heat it for a couple of seconds until it is slightly warm. Massage the warm oil into your scalp and work it through the length of your hair. Massage

your scalp for about 15 minutes and then leave the oil on for an additional 30 minutes. Cover your hair with a hot towel while you wait. Wash your hair with a mild shampoo and finish with conditioner.

3. CURD

Curd contains nutrients that could potentially help scalp conditions and moisturize and strengthen your hair.

❖ Mix 3 tablespoons of curd with 1 tablespoon of honey and lemon in a bowl. With a dye brush, apply this to your hair. Wait for 30 minutes before washing it off with normal water. For best results, apply once a week.

4. EGGS

Eggs are a nutrient-rich hair superfood. Vitamins A and E, biotin, and folate are just some of the nutrients found in eggs that are said to help keep hair thick and healthy. Nourishing the scalp encourages new hair to grow stronger and be less prone to breakage or shedding.

❖ For egg mask, in a bowl add 2-3 Tbsp egg yolk, 4-5 Tbsp aloevera, and 2-3 Tbsp egg yolk. Heat 1 Tbsp olive oil for 10 seconds before mixing it in. Apply all over your hair, starting from the roots. Leave it on for 30 minutes and rinse with cold water.

5. ONION JUICE

Onions, normally seen as a humble kitchen staple, may have been used other than simply adding flavor to our food. It might sound surprising, but onion juice is also a home remedy for hair loss.

❖ Peel about four onions and chop them into small pieces. Extract the juice out of the onion by either squeezing it or using a juicer. Another option is placing the onion pieces into a blender and blending them into a paste. Place the paste in a cheesecloth and squeeze all the juice out. Apply the juice to the scalp or the hair roots.

6. APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

Adding apple cider vinegar to your hair care routine will help keep your scalp healthy by warding off bacteria and keeping a balanced pH level.

❖ Mix a couple of tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with water.

After shampooing and conditioning, pour the mixture over your hair evenly, working into your scalp. Let it sit for a couple of minutes. Rinse it out
